The Arab Episcopal Schol was founded in September 2003 by Rev. Samir Esaid and Mrs. Sabah Zurikat through the Anglican Church in the Middle East as an integrative kindergarten to reach the blind and visually impaired children of northern Jordan who did not have any options for education except to travel to Amman, an hour drive from Irbid. Since it's founding, AES has expanded greatly, offering Kindergarten 1 & 2 through grade 6. We're so thankful for the ways the school has grown, and the support we've received both from our community here in Irbid, to communities in many parts of the world. It is only through the dedication of our staff and the support of friends that we're able to continue teaching integration and peace education.
